NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM GNAAS NATIONAL SECRETARIAT.
Blessed be the name of the Lord, He is indeed worthy to be praised and adored. Without a doubt, He giveth more grace to the simple and understanding to humble.
After carrying us on wings of eagles through the year 2017, He has indeed proven to us, that “As the will of man co-operates with the will of God, it becomes omnipotent. Whatever is to be done at His command may be accomplished in His strength. All His biddings are enablings.” (Christ Object Lesson page 333). We are very grateful to all the members of the Ghana National Association of Adventist Students, as well as chaplains and alumni for the colossal supports shown to the cause of God in the year ended. We believe that all your sacrifices have been faithfully recorded in heaven.
A New Beginning, Yet A Progressive Vision.
As the new year unfolds, we want to remind all GNAAS members of the working vision and mission under the theme Unashamed of the everlasting gospel( Romans 1:16). What is our vision? A Bible centred movement of students where all Uphold, Live & Share the Gospel. By this vision we have the singular mission To prepare Campuses for Eternity. It is our prayer that this spirit shall characterise each and every gnaas leader and gnaas member, as well as chaplains and alumni in 2018 and beyond. Together, may we be prepared and challenged to change the world!
God Will Do a New Thing For You.
Now to you, dear reader of this brief missive, you may be contemplating–Another year of life is now in the past. A new year is opening before us. What will be its record? What will I inscribe upon its spotless pages? I want to tell you today, that God is ready to do a new thing in your life. Like he prophesied through the prophet Isaiah, Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19. Forget about the failures, the disappointments and the unfulfilled dreams of the past year, get yourself a new challenge and just believe that God is ready to work out a new thing for you. Now give yourself to him, soul, body, and spirit, to do his will. Let all selfishness die with the past year, live for God and for others and experience the sweet fragrance of this year.
Indeed, “a new year has opened upon us. Let it be a happy New Year. . . Nestle in the sheltering arms of Jesus, and do not wrestle yourself out of His arms. Just believe and praise God and go forward. We are almost home. (This Day with God page 9)
